What it does
AskPDF is a PDF reader that answers questions about your document. Open a PDF, tap Summarize for a short overview, or ask anything about the text. Answers come from the document itself and point to page numbers where they can; if the document does not say, the app tells you instead of guessing.
Highlights
- One-tap summary: a one-line TL;DR plus 3 to 6 key points, in your phone’s language
- Ask the document: type a question and get an answer based only on your PDF’s text
- Page references: cited where possible so you can check the source
- Open from anywhere: from your files, or via Open with or Share from email and messengers
- Reads offline: smooth page-by-page reader, recent documents, dark theme
- Free allowance: 3 AI actions a day, up to 20 total on the free plan, no sign-up
- Long files: summaries and answers use roughly the first 60,000 characters of text
Made for
- Contracts, lecture notes, research papers, manuals and reports
- Finding one clause without scrolling fifty pages
- Anyone who needs to understand a long file quickly
