What it does
Chess puzzles that work on a plane, on the subway or in a basement. The whole library of 50,000 rated positions from real games is on your phone, with no account and no waiting for a server. When you miss, the coach says what happened and names the idea behind the right move, such as a fork, a pin or a back-rank mate.
Highlights
- Why a move is wrong: not just a red cross, but what your move allowed
- Fast-settling rating: your first ten puzzles move the rating faster, then puzzles are picked around it; failed ones return later
- Board vision: find and name squares, light or dark, knight routes, blindfold coordinates and piece vision, on a twelve-level path
- Many modes: all puzzles, puzzle of the day, puzzle streak, puzzle rush, mate trainer (mate in 1 to 5+), endgame studies and chess classics
- Progress in plain numbers: a rating per tactical motif, a heat map of missed squares and a streak that forgives one missed day
- Your look: dark, light and AMOLED themes with board and piece styles
